Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation

Physiotherapy and rehabilitation are commonly used to help people overcome injuries, chronic pain and surgeries. This is now becoming more common with helping pets through the same issues. Rehabilitation can be used to help pets restore function, mobility, and quality of life by decreasing pain, building strength, and increasing flexibility. Pet rehabilitation is most commonly used among dogs, but treatments can be used for almost any pet species.

Consultation

Each modality or tool can be used in combination with others to make a unique plan for your pet’s needs. To start off, an initial rehab consultation will need to be conducted. The rehab consultation includes: Within the first consultation, we will dive right into helping your pet’s physical needs. This includes the previously mentioned modalities like water treadmill and laser therapy. Not only this, but we will help you in formulating a home plan that fits YOUR schedule.

After your initial visit, rehab sessions may vary in time and cost. Since now we are familiar with your pet and their history, the sessions move down to 30-45 minutes. This way we can focus solely on their rehab and exercises. We can also keep up-to-date on flexion and extension measurements, and your pet’s muscle mass.

Once a game plan is set, we have multiple options for appointments, such as packages, drop-offs, and convenient scheduling.
